Essex Based Mental Health Support for Children & Young People

  • Essex Safeguarding Children's Board offering advice and guidance related to Children's safeguarding

  • Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) ​in Essex schools and colleges . To find more about the roll out of the Mental Health Support Teams click here.

  • Southend, Essex & Thurrock Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (SET CAMHS): The service is for anybody aged between 0-18 living in the Southend, Essex and Thurrock areas and is free at the point of entry. The service is also for young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25. SET CAMHS Leaflet

  • SET CAMHS Clinician of the day number: If you have any concerns about children/young people already open to SET CAMHS, you should contact the relevant local team where a Clinician of Day will respond (on 0800 953 0222).
